The Région Rhône-Alpes has supported the creation of Neurodis by bestowing a doctoral research scholarship (DRS) for a 3-year funding targeted on a regional team of Neurodis and also on the thematic area of research of the Foundation. This funding is operated via the 11th research cluster on “Handicap, Ageing and Neurosciences” (HAN).
Consequently, for the academic year 2008-2009 and over a period of 3 years, this additional doctoral research scholarship (DRS) has been bestowed to the 11th cluster labeled “Cluster – Neurodis joint DRS” and will fund the program selected by the scientific committee of the cluster that is entitled: “Research of early biomarkers of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and influence of High Frequency Stimulation (HFS) of the subthalamic nucleus (STN) on these biomarkers”. Prof. François Berger’s team 7 specialized in “Nanomedicine and Brain” (PhD Director: Stephan Chabardès) from the Grenoble Institute of Neurosciences (GIN, Inserm research center U 836-Universite Joseph Fourier-CEA French Atomic Energy Commission and university hospital).
